Maynards Green Community Primary School Julie Langdon

Julie came in to talk to Year 4 about the different types of teeth, what effect sugar has on teeth and also how to identify plaque on teeth.  She set up a range of different tasks where children sorted teeth, looked at different animal skulls with teeth and matched amounts of sugar to a variety of popular snacks. 

The children had a pack to take home where they could investigate with a disclosing tablet where they might need to brush a little better by showing up the plaque after brushing.
