HEADTEACHERS WELCOME

Maynards Green Community Primary School is situated in a peaceful, rural setting adjacent to the beautiful Cuckoo Trail. Its buildings, extensively renovated in 2006, are clean, bright and smart and are further enhanced by attractive displays of children's work. There are currently 219 children on roll.

Children enjoy coming to school and parents find the school a safe and inspirational environment. The team of experienced staff quickly get to know the children and their families and work particularly hard to make learning interesting and enjoyable.

Children come first at Maynards Green School. We have a strong commitment to the care and nurture of our children and believe that when children are happy and feel safe, they are then free to learn and enjoy all aspects of school life.  They make good progress, and the standards in English, Maths and Science are consistently higher than those reached by similar schools both locally and nationally.

We offer a very rich learning experience for our children, both in and outside of the classroom. We use our extensive grounds at every opportunity and children enjoy many educational visits and visitors to the school to enrich their learning.

I hope you enjoy our virtual tour, below my welcome, I would also like to encourage you to contact the school should you have any question. I am always extremely happy to talk to prospective parents, via telephone, should you want further information.

Thank you and I look forward to showing you our wonderful school!

Karen Cromwell, Headteacher

VIRTUAL TOUR

Dear Parents & Carers, due to current government guidance we are unable to offer face-to-face tours. Of course we are really sorry not to be able to offer this to prespective parents as we understand how getting a feel for a school, by visiting, is so important when choosing a school. We are however, really pleased to be able to offer a virtual tour which can be found below.

    Start of Year Arrangements
Dear Mums, Dads & Carers, Firstly thank you for you continued patience and apologies for the late notice. I appreciate that this is not the news that you were hoping for, but after much consideration we do not have sufficient staff to open the school safely to all children tomorrow. As a result, we have taken the difficult decision to close the school to all but keyworker and vulnerable children with effect from Tuesday 5th January. The situation will be reviewed at the end of next week. Further information on remote learning and arrangements for keyworker criteria will follow. We have also been advised by CATS club that they will not be able to operate with the reduced numbers. Once again I apologise for the inconvenience that this will cause many of you, however, our main concern has to be the safety of our whole school community. Best wishes and stay safe Karen Cromwell
