Outdoor Learning

We are excited to incorporate more outdoor learning into our curriculum. These sessions will take place in all weather conditions to help children improve their physical health, problem-solving skills, and teamwork.

Activities will include nature walks, ecosystem exploration, and hands-on practical skills like den building and supervised risk-taking.

If your child is taking part in outdoor learning this term, please ensure on Mondays that your child comes to school dressed in their outdoor clothing with wet weather gear and spare clothes in a seperate bag.

Required Clothing

To ensure your child is comfortable and protected, please provide the following (all clearly labeled):

  • Wet Weather: Waterproof jacket, waterproof trousers, and wellies (or walking boots).
  • Cold Weather: Warm layers (fleeces/sweaters), warm socks, hat, and gloves.

  • Sunny Weather: Sun hat and sunscreen.

Note: Please send clothes that you don’t mind getting muddy, as exploration can get messy!
