Rock Star Hair and TTRS for NSPCC Number Day 6th February 

As part of our commitment to make maths exciting and high profile in our school, we are taking part in a friendly competition involving schools in the UK. The competition runs from 7:30am to 7:30pm on Friday 6 February 2026. It's all done online via play.ttrockstars.com and is to celebrate NSPCC Number Day!

Children can play in any gamemode with every correct answer to a multiplication or division question, earning themselves, their class and the school a point. The Times Tables Rock Stars platform will calculate the class average (the number of correct answers per pupil in the class who play during the competition hours, subject to a daily 60-minute limit (see below)). Winning classes in the school and in the competition as a whole will be the ones with the highest average.

To support player wellbeing, there is a daily time limit of 60-minutes per player. In other words, each player can earn competition points for up to 60-minutes during the competition. Once the player goes beyond 60-minutes of play on that day, they will still earn coins but will no longer earn points towards the competition.

In the spirit of the competition, please do not play on their behalf but by all means encourage and support them to the extent that it doesn't cause high stress levels or impact on family plans. The children will have an opportunity to play in school on the day, but they may want to complete the hour at home!

As well as being part of the exciting competition, all children from Reception through to Year 6 are permitted to come to school with “Rock Star Hair” for the day. This could involve a funky hairstyle, accessories or even different coloured hair (though it must be able to be back to normal for Monday). You may even want to incorporate a number theme to your Rock Star Hair!

Outdoor Learning 

Mondays - Year R and Year 3

If your child is taking part in outdoor learning this term, please ensure on Mondays that your child comes to school dressed in their outdoor clothing with wet weather gear and spare clothes in a separate bag. 

 Required Clothing

To ensure your child is comfortable and protected, please provide the following (all clearly labeled):

• Wet Weather: Waterproof jacket, waterproof trousers, and wellies (or walking boots).

• Cold Weather: Warm layers (fleeces/sweaters), warm socks, hat, and gloves.

Other than Reception class, please ensure your child comes to school dressed in their P.E kit.

🎄 Christmas Fair Chocolate Tombola Request 🍫

The Friends are kindly requesting donations of chocolate bars (any size/type welcome!) for the popular Chocolate Tombola stall at the Christmas Fair. Your generous contributions help make this stall a great success! Please bring the donation to the school office on the day of the fair (18th December).
