KS1 Class Teacher
Start Date: 1st January 2026 (or later for the right candidate)
Full time position with the potential for part-time (0.8 FTE).

Situated between Horam and Heathfield, Maynards Green is a thriving community primary school. This is an exciting chance to make a real difference in a supportive school environment. We are looking for a teacher who is committed to creating a stimulating and nurturing learning atmosphere for young children at Maynards Green Community Primary School.

We are looking for a candidate who:

Wants to join an ambitious, forward thinking school who look after and trust their staff to take risks and be the best that they can be

Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).

Has recent experience of working in Key Stage 1 or EYFS

Demonstrates a strong understanding of effective teaching and learning strategies for young children.

Possesses excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

The school will need to ensure that they are not knowingly employing a person who is disqualified under the 2018 Regulations in connection with relevant childcare provision. Accordingly, the successful candidate will be required to demonstrate to the school, by completing a self-declaration form as part of the pre-employment checks process, that they have not been disqualified under the 2018 Regulations.
If the preferred candidate is found to be disqualified under the 2018 Regulations, the offer of employment will be subject to the application by the preferred candidate to Ofsted for a waiver and the receipt of a waiver from Ofsted.
