Key Commitments

Area

Commitment

Learning Environment

We work tirelessly to provide a calm, safe, and supportive environment where all pupils learn without disruption and feel valued, safe, and empowered to succeed.

High Expectations

Clear, consistent, and high standards for conduct are taught and applied. We promote self-discipline and respect. Bullying, discrimination, aggression, or derogatory language are not tolerated and are addressed swiftly.

Support & Inclusion

We offer additional, adapted, or personalised support (including for SEND) through plans, targeted interventions, and our Manny Maynard Emotional Literacy programme to develop self-regulation and resilience.

Relationships

Strong, positive relationships between staff, pupils, and families are central. We involve pupil voice and partner with parents/carers to reinforce expectations.

Consistency & Fairness

Expectations and consequences are applied consistently and fairly. Our staged approach uses gentle reminders, reflection, and restorative conversations. Reasonable adjustments and adaptations ensure equity.

Promoting Our Vision: The Maynards Green Way

The founding principles of our behaviour policy guides pupils to:

- Be Safe

- Be Kind

- Respect others’ learning
