COLOUR RUN WAIVER
You must agree and sign our waiver before taking part.

All participants must be aged 4 years and above. All participants under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian at the event.

In order for participants to take part in the Maynards Green School Colou Run Challenge on the 11th October 2024, you must agree to the following waiver prior to this event.

1. I am aged 18 years or above and consent for this child to participate in the Maynards Green School Colour Obstacle Run. I confirm that I am the parent/legal guardian or carer and I wish for these child/children to participate in the colour obstacle run on 11th October 2024.
2. I agree that this person will participate in accordance with the specific safety rules clearly explained by the members of the FRIENDS of Maynards Green Committee and Teaching Staff at the beginning of the event.
3. I understand that this event is a potentially hazardous activity where colour powder will be thrown at and around all participants during the event and obstacles challenges are set out on the course. I do however understand that the powder is not hazardous to people, animals or plant life.
4. Due to health, safety and insurance reasons, I agree that no other colour powders or substances are to be brought to the event and used in any way.
5. I agree that my child will wear eye protection in accordance with the safety instructions and risk assessment. Eye protection can include goggles, sunglasses or prescription eye wear. Failure to comply with these instructions could result in the participant being denied entry to the event.
6. I agree to provide a top for the participant to wear (ideally white or light coloured) such as an old school polo top during the colour obstacle run, along with protective eye wear. Please see our frequently asked questions for more information.
7. All participants are expected to exhibit appropriate behaviour at all times and follow all instructions that are given to them. All participants must be respectful to other participants, helpers, staff, equipment and facilities and not misuse these in any way.
8. I confirm that my child/children, friends and family members participating are in good physical condition and have no medical impairments which may prevent them from participating in this activity. If I have any concerns about their physical conditions, I will consult a doctor before participating in the activity and inform the school straight away.
9. I understand that there will be obstacles in this activity which may be physically demanding and that there are risks of injury.
10. I understand that entry is non-refundable.
11. I confirm that I am responsible for the child/ren in my care and undertake to ensure that he/she/they undertake the activities in this event in accordance with the safety rules made available prior to participation and hereby acknowledge the risks on their behalf.
12. Photos of the event will be taken by the FRIENDS to use on Social Media and Newsletters. If you DO NOT wish your photo or your child's photo to be used you must email: friends@maynardsgreen.org 

Payment for this participant is acknowledgment that I have read, fully understood and agreed with all of the above agreement.

I acknowledge that I (and my child/ren in my care if applicable) have been provided with safety rules and advice of the Company in relation to the activities and that I have read and fully understand the above and accept the terms of participation freely and voluntarily without any inducement prior to signing/submitting this form.
