Key Responsibilities:

We are looking for a candidate who:

Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).

Has recent experience of working in Key Stage 1.

Demonstrates a strong understanding of effective teaching and learning strategies for young children.

Possesses excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Has an interest in leading a subject, particularly Music, Design Technology (DT), or Computing. (Subject leadership is an aspect of this post).
Desirable:

Recent experience of implementing Continuous Provision in a KS1 setting.

Maynards Green Primary School, a successful and popular community school situated between Horam and Heathfield, is seeking a reliable and confident individual to join our team as Clerk to the Governing Board.
Role Overview:
This is a vital role requiring excellent administrative and interpersonal skills, along with a keen interest in school governance. The successful candidate will work effectively with the Chair of Governors, Headteacher, and other governors to ensure the smooth and compliant operation of the Governing Board.
Key Responsibilities:

Provide advice on procedural and legislative matters, ensuring the Governing Board operates within the legal framework.

Prepare and circulate agendas and papers for meetings.
-
Attend Governing Board meetings (and potentially committee meetings and panels) and produce accurate minutes.

Maintain a business calendar, including tracking policy reviews.
-
Uphold strict confidentiality at all times.
We are looking for someone who:

Possesses strong administrative and minute-taking experience.
-
Is proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel (or Google Docs & Sheets) and email.

Has access to a computer and the internet.
-
Demonstrates excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Is reliable and well-organized.

Understands the importance of confidentiality.

Either holds a relevant award (e.g., BTEC Level 3 in Clerk to the Governing Board or equivalent) or is willing to undertake the East Sussex Clerk to Governors Accreditation Scheme.

We are looking for a committed and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant/INA to join our supportive and forward-thinking team at Maynards Green Community Primary School.
This is an entry-level role (TA1), ideal for someone starting their career in education. You will be based primarily in our Reception class, supporting children in their early stages of learning, with additional time each day supporting as an INA and supervising during lunchtime.
