Swimming
Being able to swim is such an important skill for children to learn. We have our own heated swimming pool which is a fantastic resource and enables us to ensure that the majority of children leave Maynards Green School at the end of Year 6 being able to swim (see data below).
The swimming timetable runs from March to November and every child in the school will enjoy swimming classes every year they attend Maynards Green. Lessons are taught by a qualified swimming teacher.
The Friends of Maynards Green (PTA) also hire out the pool for fun swims at their summer fund raising events.
We are fantastic swimmers at Maynards Green School and alwayas take part and have often won, the Heathfield Area School's Swimming Gala! We are so proud of our achievements.
