Transition at Maynards Green

transition

Our Aim

At Maynards Green, we understand that transitions are a key part of every child's educational journey.

Whether moving into a new year group, joining our school for the first time, or preparing for the leap to secondary education, we are committed to making these periods as seamless and positive as possible.

🌐Universal offer at Transition🌐

Our Universal Offer ensures that every child benefits from a carefully planned and supportive transition process. This includes dedicated settling-in activities, opportunities to meet new teachers and classmates, and clear communication with families about what to expect. We foster a nurturing environment where children feel safe, secure, and ready to embrace new challenges.

➕Enhanced offer at Transition➕

For children who may benefit from additional support during times of change, we provide an Enhanced Offer. This tailored approach might include extra visits to new classrooms, individualised social stories, increased communication with parents/carers, or specific small group work to address anxieties and build confidence. Our aim is always to provide the right level of support to ensure every child thrives during their transition.
